Pageant Deadline Is Thursday
It is mid-summer again and time for the 7th Annual Miss/Master Crape Myrtle Festival Pageant. This year’s pageant will be held at the First National Bank Community Room on Saturday, July 29. Entries must be received no later than Thursday, July 27.
Ardmore High School Plans 6 Grade Open House Aug. 1st
An Open House will be held Tuesday, August 1, at Ardmore High School for students who will be entering the sixth grade this fall and their parents. The Open House will be held in the school lunchroom beginning at 6 p.m.
Ms. Holt Seeks Elkton Aldermanic Seat
Carolyn K. Holt has announced her candidacy for the office alderman for the City of Elkton. Holt is currently serving the remainder of the term of her late husband, Golden Holt.

‘Cruz-In’ Set For July 27
The Boys and Girls Club of Ardmore, in partnership with Sonic Drive-in, will host their second “Cruz-In” of 2006 on Thursday, July 27. The event starts at 6 PM.
Sparkman MS Cheerleaders Will Host Golf Tournament
Area golfers are encouraged to enjoy a fun day on the links while, at the same time, supporting a worthy cause as the Sparkman Middle School Cheerleading Squad will host a golf tournament on Saturday, August 5.
Ardmore I Has Successful 2006 Season
The Ardmore I 9 & 10 boys baseball team finished another successful season. They concluded the regular season with a 12-3 record. The regular campaign was highlighted by a 6-5 come-from-behind victory over eventual county champion East I.

Rodeo Queen And Cowboy Pageant Slated For Saturday, August 5
August is rapidly approaching and that means that it is getting close to time for the 14th Annual Ardmore Police Reserves Rodeo Queen and Cowboy Pageant. The much-anticipated event will be held on August 5 at the City of Ardmore, TN City Hall Annex.

Well fans, the Dog Days of August are fast approaching and that means it is time to take a look at a couple of pennant races that are shaping up to be quite interesting. Add to that the fact that the trading deadline is July 31 and it is easy to see that we have a few things to talk about.
