It is mid-summer again and time for the 7th Annual Miss/Master Crape Myrtle Festival Pageant. This year’s pageant will be held at the First National Bank Community Room on Saturday, July 29. Entries must be received no later than Thursday, July 27.

The pageant, a much-anticipated event each year in the Ardmore area, is open to girls birth through 21 years of age and to boys birth through five years of age. Participation is not limited to residents of Ardmore.

This year’s divisions of competition include: girls birth to 18 months; girls 19-35 months; girls, three years; girls four to five years; boys birth through five years; girls six through eight years; girls nine through eleven years; girls 12-14 years; girls 15-17 years; and girls 18-21 years.

A minimum of 10 contestants will be needed for each division, otherwise, some divisions may be combined.

Entry fee is $25 per contestant. Optional photogenic categories are also being offered at a cost of $5 per photo. Completed entries must be submitted, along with entry fee and if applicable, photo entry and photogenic fee, to the Ardmore, AL/TN Chamber of Commerce, 29910 Ardmore Avenue, Ardmore, AL, no later than 5 PM on July 27, 2006. Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the pageant committee and subject to a $10 late fee. Checks should be made payable to the Ardmore, AL/TN Chamber of Commerce.
