The Ardmore I 9 & 10 boys baseball team finished another successful season. They concluded the regular season with a 12-3 record. The regular campaign was highlighted by a 6-5 come-from-behind victory over eventual county champion East I.
Ardmore I entered the county tournament as the number 3 seed. They concluded the tournament with a second place finish. The team lost a heartbreaker in the finals of the winners bracket 3-2 in 8 innings to East I who went on to win the county tournament.
“East I was a team that was well coached and displayed a lot of class and great character on and off the field,” said Ardmore I Coach Robert Haney. “Ardmore I was made up of 14 young men who when given the opportunity played with a lot of heart and courage. They were not only respected by their parents, coaches and a fan base, but also their competition throughout the county.”
