The Blanche & Taft Volunteer Fire Department will host an Antique Car & Tractor Show Saturday, August 5, at Blanche School. Gates open at 6 a.m. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for lunch. Proceeds go to the fire dept. Volunteer firemen also began a door-to-door fundraising campaign on August 1. Supporters will receive a free portrait coupon. All donations are greatly appreciated.

The Ardmore Police Reserves Rodeo will be August 11 and 12 at the John W. Barnes Area Park in Ardmore, TN.

The Ardmore Crape Myrtle Festival will be Saturday, August 26, at the John W. Barnes Area Park. Make plans now to attend.

The Sand Springs Baptist Church Caring Heart Mission is in need of donations of cotton fabrics, your granny squares or yarn thread. People are also needed to help sew in their own homes. Bethany Presbyterian Church on Bryson Road sponsors a fellowship group for women Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Women participate in a variety of activities such as simple exercises, games, crafts and fellowship.
