It’s me again. This week is important! Thursday night (tomorrow night), August 10, the Tennessee City Council will meet for the regular monthly meeting.

Many of you have talked to me about several things. I appreciate your frankness and your concern about Ardmore, but telling me what you think isn’t enough. To make your opinions heard and recognized, you have to tell all the Council members. I do not give names on who calls me or talks to me about their concerns for our town.

So, if you want something done about the violations of city and zoning ordinances, go to the meeting tomorrow night and tell the council. If you are concerned about the water and sewerage on the Tennessee side, tell the council tomorrow night. If you want to ask about the street work going on go to the meeting. If you are interested in the status of the new City Hall, go to the meeting. If you want to know the plans for a bigger and better library, got to the meeting. The council meeting starts at 6:30. The agenda shows the following items to be discussed: Industrial Board - Betty Bryant; Annexation, School Crossing Guard.

There will also be a joint meeting. The Alabama Mayor and Town Council will meet with the Tennessee Council at 7 p.m. After the joint meeting, if there are still items to discuss just with the Tennessee Council, the Tennessee Council will re-convene.

Agenda for joint meeting: Charter Cable, Traffic Study, anything else that anyone has to come before both city and town.

REMEMBER: Thursday (tomorrow) night, August 10, 6:30 p.m. at the Tennessee City Hall Annex.

Please continue to call me and let me know your thoughts. Like a lot of you have told me, I’m fighting a losing battle, I know that but I can still voice my opinion, and look to the future and just think one day!!!

Here’s looking at ya!
