This week’s Passing Parade picture is Jo Ann Jennings. She had won the Little Miss Fayetteville Beauty Queen Contest. She received a diamond ring. The contest was sponsored by Kuhn’s Dept. Store. Jo Ann is the daughter of Fred and Pearl Locker Jennings. She attended church at the Liberty Church of Christ. Her father taught the young folks class. Her mother, Pearl Locker Jennings, taught the children’s class. Ernest Locker taught the upper grade class for grades 6-7-8.

Pearl Locker Jennings was the widow of Luther Locker who died in 1922. He had just bought the Amanda Wells farm. He outbid Trigger Locker to get the farm.

Jo Ann stated when she grew up she would be another Clara Bow. Jo Ann married and had a child that was mentally handicapped. When Jimbo Gray was in the Army in Colorado, he visited Jo Ann Jennings. When Bob Allen Gray visited Barry Fowler at Denver, CO, we went to see Fred Jennings. However, we found out that he had died about six months earlier.

At the time that Fred Jennings taught Sunday School, Bro. Andy Larger held the big meeting. Howard Gray, Edwin Gray, Lizzie Mai Gray, Nell Gray and Ruby Reed became members of the Liberty Church of Christ.

Joe and Ann Segraves of Searcy, AR, visited Bob Allen Gray and had dinner with John Burns Smiley, Linda and Sam Smiley.
