The Dollar General Store, located at the corner of Union Hill Road and Main Street, is currently conducting a Christmas In August Toy Drive to assist the Ardmore Civitan Toy Chest Project.

Containers have been placed in the store for new toys, according to Dollar General Manager Vicki Taylor.

Toys for all ages (no stuffed animals, please) are needed for distribution to less fortunate children during the Christmas holidays.

“The Dollar General Store has always helped us at Christmas and, once again, they are stepping forward for Ardmore’s children,” said Mary Cribbs, Civitan President.

The Toy Chest is an annual event to make sure the less fortunate children of the Ardmore area have a Merry Christmas.

The toy drive will continue through August.
