Leona Dixon Butler

Leona Dixon Butler, 87, of SunBridge Rehabilitation in Ardmore, died August 8, 2006, at Crestwood Medical Center, Huntsville, AL.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home.

Survivors include two sisters, Cathrine Rozzell of Beech Hill, TN, and Dorothy Wilburn of Ardmore, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.


Ola Mae Puckett

Ola Mae Puckett, 84, of 2nd Street, Ardmore, AL, died Monday, August 7, 2006, at her home.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 10, at 11 a.m. at Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Brister and Rev. Derrick Moose officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ardmore with Ardmore Memorial Funeral Home in charge.

Ola Mae Taft was born December 10, 1921 in the Taft Community of Lincoln County, TN. She lived all her life in this area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Puckett; and three brothers, Thomas, James and Calvin Taft.

Survivors include one son, Raborn (Kay) Puckett of Ardmore, AL; one daughter, Betty (Thomas) Melton of Reidsville, NC; one brother, Ray Taft of Ardmore, AL; two grandsons, Johnny Whitt and Sean Puckett; and one great-granddaughter, Sasha Whitt.
