Ardmore Chamber Plans 14th Annual Crape Myrtle Festival Saturday
The 14th Annual Crape Myrtle Festival will be held Saturday, August 26, at the John Barnes Park in Ardmore, Tennessee located on Ardmore Ridge Road. To kick-off this year’s festival, The Valley Echoes and The Servants will be singing Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. while vendors and chamber members are preparing for Saturday’s events.

Blanche VFD Now Taking Labor Day BBQ Orders
The Blanche Volunteer Fire Department is taking orders for a Labor Day BBQ through September 1. Chickens, ribs, Boston butts and shoulders are available by pre-order only.
Fred’s Employee Reunion To Celebrate Store’s 30th Anniversary
All current and former employees of the Fred’s Discount Store in Ardmore are invited to a Fred’s Employee Reunion in honor of the store’s 30th anniversary. The reunion will be held Sunday, August 27, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the First National Bank Community Room in Ardmore.

Blanche Lady Bulldogs Win County Jamboree
It’s was a good week for the Blanche Lady Bulldogs. They traveled to Lincoln County High School and participated in the second jamboree. The jamboree was made up of all the middle schools in the county. On Friday, August 11 there was pool play among all the teams. The Lady Bulldogs’ opponents were Stone Bridge Academy and Highland Rim. The Lady Bulldogs defeated both teams and were seeded number for the tournament on Saturday, August 12.
Blue Angels Have Perfect Record
The 2006 Ardmore Blue Angels recently completed play in the Limestone County Girls Softball Association. The team competed in the 7-8 year old coach pitch division and won the regular season championship with a perfect 16-0 record.
