The Ardmore Quarterback Club, along with First American Bank in Ardmore will sponsor a Community Bonfire and Pep Rally at Ardmore High School Thursday, August 31st. Beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the concession stand in Cooper Field, varsity and junior varsity football players and coaches, varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders, and all band members will be treated to a complimentary dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs.

Following the meal, the community is invited to join the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. behind the home side bleachers for the lighting of the bonfire and a pep rally.

New Head Football Coach Tracy Malone will introduce members of the 2006 varsity and junior varsity football teams and coaching staff.

Limestone County Probate Judge Mike Davis will be the speaker for the evening. A former Ardmore High School teacher and coach, Judge Davis is expected to “fire up” the Tigers and their fans before they meet arch rival Elkmont on Friday at Cooper Field for their first home game of the season.

Band Director Stan Nelson and the award winning Ardmore Tiger Marching Band will be on hand to add music to the evening with, among other numbers, the ever popular “Tiger Rag.”

Ardmore Tiger Cheerleaders will be there to excite the crowd and cheer the Tigers to victory.

“We would love to see the entire Ardmore community come out and support our football team, cheerleaders and band members, as we begin the 2006 football season. These kids work hard all year long and we hope everyone will come out and encourage them,” said Ardmore Quarterback Club President Gerald Smith.

The Ardmore Quarterback Club will be accepting donations of $5.00 for an opportunity to win a John Deere Gator, to be given away by drawing at halftime of the last home game on Friday, October 20, when the Tigers host Priceville. Fans wishing to visibly show their support and school loyalty will also have the opportunity to purchase Ardmore Tiger t-shirts, caps and visors for the upcoming football season.
