Giles County Bobcats
Perfect In Three Tries

Josh Perez scored twice and quarterback Joseph Dunavant was in on three six-pointers when the Giles County Bobcats won their third game in a row in Ashland City Friday night. The Bobcats downed the Cheatham County Cubs 35-21.

After giving up the first touchdown of the regional contest, the Bobcats reeled of 21 unanswered points in the first half to lead 21-7.

Perez scored his first six-pointer on a 35-yard run. Jon Stafford provided the extra-point, his first of five for the evening.

Tobias Houston and Jerry Cobb each scored for the Bobcats in the second quarter. Houston scored on a 2-yard carry and Cobb on a 4-yard pass from Dunavant.

The Cubs scored the first touchdown of the second half before Dunavant scored for Giles County on a 6-yard carry.

Perez and Stafford completed the scoring for the Bobcats in the fourth. Perez was on the receiving end of a 41-yard scoring pass from Dunavant while Stafford provided the extra point.

The Bobcats take a week off before returning to Sam Davis Stadium for a date with Spring Hill.
