The Lincoln County Falcons blanked the Warren County Pioneers 17-0 in their regional opener last Friday.

R. J. Sandmeyer kicked a 27-yard field goal in the opening quarter to get the Falcons off to a good start.

Matt Moran scored on a 1-yard carry in the third quarter before Justin Wiser scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth. Sandmeyer was good on both point-after-kicks.

The Falcon defense limited the Pioneers to just 10 yards rushing and 56 yards passing.

The winners used a balanced offensive attack accumulated 169 yards rushing and 144 yards in the air.

Lincoln Co. will step out of the region this week when archrival Riverdale visits Fayetteville.
