Blanche Lady Bulldogs Improve Record

The Blanche Lady Bulldogs volleyball team pulled off the sweep this week on the road. Blanche traveled to Flintville on Monday, September 11, and took on the Lady Bobcats. Blanche came out strong and played a solid match. The score of the first game was Blanche 25 and Flintville 9. The Lady Bulldogs took the second game Blanche 25 and Flintville 10. The win improved Blanche’s record to 9-0.

“I was very pleased with the way we played tonight,” said Blanche Coach Randy Milligan. “We came out strong and played well throughout the match.”

On Thursday, September 14, the Lady Bulldogs traveled to take on the Lady Hornets of Highland Rim. The first game started out to be a close contest, but the Lady Bulldogs took control of the contest with some long rallies and finding their serve. The score of the first game was Blanche 25 and Highland Rim 15. In the second game Blanche took control early and never looked back. The final score of the second game was Blanche 25 and Highland Rim 9. The victory at Highland Rim improved the Lady Bulldogs’ record to 10-0.

Coach Milligan stated, “I felt like we started out a little slow tonight, however, we settled in and finished strong. It was good to travel over there and get the match win. The county tournament will be held at Highland Rim,” Milligan added. “This was important for us to get a feel for their gym.”
