Longer Matches, Closer Games
The Ardmore Lady Tigers have volleyed longer and played closer games in their most recent volleyball matches.
Despite dropping a pair of matches to East Limestone and Elkmont the Lady Tigers did not make it easier for either team.
Against East Limestone the Lady Indians won the opener 25-19 before Ardmore won the second game 25-20. East took the third game 25-22 before Ardmore forced a fifth game with a 25-17 decision. The Lady Indians won the determining game of the match 15-10.
It took five games to determine a winner when Elkmont invaded the Ardmore gym last Thursday.
The Lady Red Devils won the first two games 25-18 and 25-21. Ardmore won the next two 25-21 and 25-22. The visitors won the deciding game 15-7.
Ardmore’s junior team defeated Elkmont’s juniors 25-16 and 25-11.
As matches continue, the Lady Tigers are looking forward to hosting the county varsity volleyball tournament Saturday, October 8.
