Quarterback’s Heroics Joseph Dunavant scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak to keep the Giles Country High School Bobcats’ perfect record intact Friday with a 28-21 win over visiting Ensworth. The non-region win gives the Bobcats a 5-0 worksheet. They are 2-0 in region play. This Friday they will entertain region foe Montgomery Central. Marquis Gardner and Sam Edgmon each scored a 6-pointer in the opening period to give Giles County a 12-0. Gardner scored on a 20-yard run while Edgmon’s touchdown came on a 5-yard carry. The visitors made it interesting in the second quarter out scoring their opposition 21-8. Edgmon scored on a 16-run and the Bobcats tacked on the extra-points on the points after run. The scored remained 21-20 before Dunavant’s quarterback keeper in the final stanza. The Bobcats welcomed the return of Edgmon who rushed for 117 yards on 22 carries.
