The Blanche Lady Bulldogs hosted South Lincoln Thursday, September 21. The Lady Bulldogs came out strong and took the first game 25 to 7. The Lady Bulldogs overpowered the Lady Eagles with strong serving. The Ladies from Blanche had seven aces in game one. In the second game, the Lady Bulldogs were in control from the start and won 25 to 2.

“I was very pleased with the way we played,” said Coach Randy Milligan. “We came out strong with good serving and won the long rallies. We played one of the best games of the season,” Milligan added.

It was a special night at Blanche as we honored our eighth graders, Frankie Ary, Caulyn Pressnell, Haley Cobb, Karisa Hamilton, Hannah Eldridge, Rachel Hovis and Jessica Delfunt, as they were playing in their last home game as Lady Bulldogs.

“This is a very special group of young ladies,” said Milligan. “They have truly been a pleasure to coach. They have accomplished so much in three years: three regular season championships 2004, 2005, and 2006; undefeated in regular season matches at home; 2005 Tournament Champions, 2004 Tournament runners-up; 74-game winning streak and still counting; undefeated in 2005 season; and 2006 Lincoln County High School Jamboree Champions. They will truly be missed at Blanche as athletes,” Milligan said. “I want to say a special thank you to all of them and their parents.”

The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Riverside Christian Academy in Fayetteville Monday evening. They defeated the Lady Knights in two games to bring home the Regular Season Championship for the fourth year. Following Monday evening’s game, the Lady Bulldogs were treated to a Pizza party at the Bulldog gym. Team members, parents, and coaches were present to celebrate the accomplishments of Lady Bulldogs.
