Hello again. I’ve enjoyed seeing you out about town. Thanks for your comments. I enjoy talking with you. There are a few things that I need to update you on.

The water situation has been taken care of. Ardmore is now connected to Limestone Water Authority as our backup. And, please give an Ardmore welcome to the Water Department’s two new employees, Joey Hughes and Sammy Turner. Also, you saw right last week. There were two young ladies reading the meters around town. Isn’t it great to have dedicated employees who can do different things and are willing to fill in when there is an emergency?

All this extra work, installing pumps, laying lines, buying Limestone water, doesn’t come cheap. Please understand this when you get your water bills. Ardmore is still cheaper than surrounding towns. If you would like to see proof, I have it, let me know.

The Tennessee side (City) did not obtain the sewerage grant from the USDA. There were 48 applications. Ardmore ranked 41st from the top, and only 16 grants were given out. Maybe next time.

Don’t you just love this fall weather? Please remember the holidays are close at hand. Please watch for the children as they trick or treat at the end of the month. There are so many good things that you can do in Ardmore and get involved with. Bike-a-thon for St. Jude, Civitan Toy Chest, Food Bank, Cedar Hill Fall Festival, Boys and Girls Club always need your help with donations and supplies. If you don’t have anything to be involved in, just see me.

About those Ardmore Tigers, I don’t know about you, but I’m very proud of them. Ardmore should be very proud and support them. This week is Homecoming so businesses, get involved put out your Black and Gold and support the Tigers. If you need help let me know. Homecoming Parade is Thursday at 4:00 p.m.

Remember, October 5th is the Tennessee Council meeting and the Joint Meeting will be held on October 16th at the Alabama Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.

Have a Happy Fall Ya’ll. Here’s looking at ya.

P.S. Remember when you think you are at the end of your rope, tie a knot in it with a prayer, and keep looking up.
