“Once elected, I desire to work with the other board members and school administrators to build up our school system,” Hilliard said. “With rapid growth in our county, I believe the facilities and curriculum of our schools must be continually upgraded. We must plan for more growth and proactively strive to ensure the best opportunities possible for our students,” Hilliard continued. “In particular, I would like to build up our reading and math programs to eventually help our students transition easier into college and the workforce.”

Hilliard stated that he believes the school system would greatly benefit from funds obtained through various grants to help offset the operational costs incurred by the school system.

“I feel that my past work experiences in management and planning, along with my dedication to my children and their classmates, would qualify me to be a good choice as a representative to the school board,” Hilliard concluded.
