CHO Food Bank Receives Proceeds
From Final Harmony Boys Concert

The Christians Helping Others (CHO) Food Bank recently received a donation of $3,249.50 as the result of the final concert presented by The Harmony Boys on October 1 at Piney Grove Baptist Church.


Hometown Hugs Nets Over 100 Stuffed Animals
Movie Gallery in Ardmore conducted a Hometown Hugs program during the month of September. The goal of Hometown Hugs is to make frightening experiences a little easier for children.


Children’s Home Benefit Singing Planned Saturday
The congregation of the Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church will host its 2nd Annual Benefit Gospel Singing for the Freewill Baptist Children’s Home of Eldridge, AL on Saturday, October 21, at 7 p.m.

Sixth, seventh, and eighth graders nominated for September’s Student of the Month were Kennedy Sutton, Logan Phifer, Madison Williams, Chase Nichols, Theresa Douthit, Anthony Warren, Roxi Edmondson, Jackie Hamelink, Allyson Dixon, Kelly Flannagan and Michael Stevenson.



Tigers Fall In Regional Contest
The Ardmore Tigers and the East Limestone Indians met last Friday night in a football game with regional playoff implications. Both teams came into the game with only one loss in Class 4A, Region 7 play. Ironically, both the Tigers and the Indians had lost to powerhouse North Jackson.


Dixie Fury Takes Second In Fall Softball Tourney
The Johnson Dixie Fury 8u took second place during the Fall Softball Tournament held October 7 at Cowart. The girls placed first seed after morning pool play. They continued to work their way through the single elimination tournament until they reached the championship game at 7:00 p.m. The girls played a great game, but just fell short to the Fayetteville team, according to Coach Jamie Moore.
