Cowboys For Kids Trail Ride Sunday

The 7th annual Cowboys for Kids Trail Ride will be held Sunday, October 29, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Trail Boss for the ride will be Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely.

This year the ride will head out from Neal Johnston’s farm in Minor Hill, Tennessee and admission to the benefit event will be $10.00. All proceeds raised will be used to the benefit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Limestone County.

Directions from Athens: Travel north on Alabama 127 across the Tennessee stateline and continue north for 1.9 miles to Edmundson Road. Turn left, or west on Edmundson Rd. for 2.3 miles to a stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign and continue one half mile to Bass Road. Turn left on Bass Rd. and continue for 2 miles. The gate will be on the left.

Directions from U.S. Highway 64 By-pass near Pulaski, Tennessee: Travel south on Tennessee 166 for 10.6 miles to Edmundson Rd. Turn left or west on Edmunson Rd. for 2.3 miles to a stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign and go one half mile to Bass Rd. Turn left on Bass Rd. for 2 miles and gate will be on the left.

Directions from the Salem or Minor Hill areas: One tenth of a mile north of Ronnie’s Place on Salem Minor Hill Rd. travel east on Earl Townsend Rd. for 1.6 miles to a stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign and continue 2.2 miles to Bass Rd. Turn right on Bass Rd. for one half mile until reaching the Trail Ride gate on the right. Trail Ride gate is near the intersection of Bass Rd. and Smith Jackson Rd.

Trail Boss Sheriff Mike Blakely reminds all riders to turn their clocks back one hour due to daylight saving time to assure they arrive on time.
