St. Jude Bike-A-Thon Saturday At FBC

The Ardmore community can help save lives by participating in a Wheels-For-Life Bike-A-Thon to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, November 4, is sponsored by First Baptist Church. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the event will start at 10 a.m. By participating in or attending the event, children and adults will help raise funds for the internationally recognized hospital.

Everyone riding a tricycle or bicycle in the event must wear a helmet. Prizes will be awarded to the top donation collectors.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is intentionally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas and based in Memphis, TN, St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. No family ever pays as treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude is financially supported by ALSAC, its fundraising organization.
