The Colbert County Indians, the Class 3A Region 8 leader, proved too much for the Elkmont Red Devils Friday night. The Indians jumped to a 14-0 advantage on the way to a 36-12 win.

Chance Newby connected with Tim Woolridge on a 20-yard scoring pass to put the Red Devils on the scoreboard in the second quarter. Newby scored on a 1-yard carry later in that stanza.

The Red Devils had 135 yards on the ground and 112 in the air. The Indians produced 377 offensive yards with 271 of those coming on the ground.

The Red Devils will host Tanner on Thursday to close out the season.
