Middle School Boys The Ardmore Middle School Boys Basketball team finished third in the West Limestone Tip-Off Tournament held last week and weekend on the West Limestone campus. The Middle School Boys opened against the host West Limestone Wildcats. After leading the Wildcats at the end of each of the first three quarters, the Tigers fell behind at the end of the game 39-41. The Tigers hit 5 of 12 free throws. Leading the Tiger scoring attack were J Tribble and Matt Teeples with 11 points each. Ardmore’s other points came from Wade Riggs with 6, Landon Boggs with 6, Michael Fogg with 3 and Kyle Hutchinson 2. Justin White lead the Wildcats with 12. Ardmore 32 Elkmont 25 In the Tigers’ second game of the tournament they defeated Elkmont 32-28 trailing through the first half and leading through the second. Wade Riggs was Ardmore’s high scorer with 12, followed by J Tribble with 6, Matt Teeples with 6, Kyle Hutchinson with 5 and Caleb Lindsey added 3. The Red Devils’ leading scorer was Michael Carter with 9 and Skyler Logan with 9. The Tigers were 7 of 17 from the charity stripe. Ardmore 45 Decatur Heritage 31 In the Tigers’ final outing of the tournament they defeated Decatur Heritage 45-31. After playing to a 6-6 tie at the end of the first quarter the Tigers took the lead during the second quarter and never looked back. Ardmore’s offensive attack was lead by Wade Riggs 11 points. Matt Teeples added 8, Landon Boggs 8, Kyle Hutchinson 6, Tyler Elliott 3, Austin Fogg 2, Michael Fogg 1 and Caleb Lindsey added 1. The Middle School Boys hit 10 of 16 free throws against Decatur Heritage. |
