Big Fourth Quarter
Assures Bobcats Of Win

The Giles County High School Bobcats scored 13 fourth quarter points to ensure a 27-12 win over Bolivar in the first round of the state play offs at Sam Davis Stadium last Friday. With the win the Bobcats make the trek to Jackson on Friday to face undefeated South Side. South Side eliminated Cheatham Co. 42-35 in the opening round.

Sam Edgmon scored on runs of 15 and 28 yards respectively and scored on a 55-yard interception return to lead the winners. He also rushed for 177 yards.

Trent Pettus scored on a 36-yard pass from Joseph Dunavant. John Stafford was successful on three of his four extra-point attempts.

The Bobcats led 14-6 at the half and then 14-13 going into the fourth quarter.
