Three Arrested, Confess by Terralea Collins Ardmore Police Chief William “Doc” Oliver, Officers Tracy Luna and David Posey teamed up with Sheriff Mike Blakely of Limestone County, together with District Attorney Kristi Valls and several reserves uncovering the murder of Arthur Champion who was found dead in his home on State Line Road, Ardmore, AL on Sunday, November 12, around 4:40 in the afternoon. The victim’s family members discovered the body. The murder had apparently taken place on Friday, November 10th. Police Chief Oliver reported there was an anonymous phone call to Sergeant James Kennedy regarding an overhead conversation about the commission of the crime. Suspects in custody are Jeanie Green, Derrick Green and Randall “Bingo” Clem, all of Ardmore, who, upon arrest, admitted to the crime. The motive was robbery. Mr. Champion worked for parks and recreation for the last five to six years, doing land maintenance. |
