Giles Heritage Book Available For Purchase
The Giles Heritage Book is now available for purchase. The 540-page 9x12 hardbound book features the stories of the heritage of Giles County, TN. It is available on a first come basis. The book has a black cover with gold embossing and is suitable for Christmas giving. The cost is $65.50 if picked up and $73.50 if mailed.


Sparkman High Holiday Home Tour December 3
The annual Sparkman High Holiday Home Tour will be held Sunday, December 3, from 1-4 P.M. The self-guided tour includes seven beautifully decorated homes for the holiday season.


Ardmore Native To Be Featured In Guinness Book of World Records
Ardmore native Donnie Faulk will be listed in the 2007 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records. Faulk has achieved the record of building the largest horseshoe sculpture made of 100% horseshoes.


Gospel Groups To Perform
Three gospel groups will perform Thursday, November 30, at 7 p.m. at Willowbrook Baptist Church.


Elkton Parade December 2
The Elkton Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, December 2, at 10 a.m. Entries will line up at the Elkton Elementary School at 9 a.m.

Ardmore Lions Club Presents 13th Annual Thanksgiving Classic
Fourteen teams will be battling for two championships Friday and Saturday in the 13th Annual Ardmore Lions Club Thanksgiving Classic at Ardmore High School. Eight teams are competing for the girls’ title while there are six teams in the boys’ division.


Balanced Scoring Aids B-Team Win
The Ardmore B-team, ninth and 10th graders, defeated the B-team at Elkmont 46-34 in the season opener for both squads.


Come From Behind Bid Falls Short
The Ardmore Lady Tigers’ come-from-behind bid fell a little bit short Friday in their season opener at Elkmont. The Lady Tigers scored 48 second half points in their 68-64 loss to the Lady Red Devils.


Devils’ Free Throws Sink Tigers
David Solomon connected on 19 of 23 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter to lead the Elkmont Red Devils to a 71-57 win Friday over the visiting Ardmore Tigers.

Giles County Bobcats Finish Season 10 and 2
The David Lipscomb Mustangs used a strong second half and a stingy defensive to defeat Giles County 21-14 in the quarterfinals of the Class 3A state football playoffs in Nashville.
