Hello everyone. I have not been to the mountains nor on a pacific tour. It is good to be with you all again. We have had some heavy frost that looked like snow. And the weather predictors have started using the words, frozen precipitation, and snow, so winter must be near. The Oak Grove Homemakers Club met third Wednesday, November15, at the home of Clara Bumpus with eight members present. President Jeanette Davis opened the meeting to order with the thought “What should not be heard by little ears, should not be said by big mouths.” Patsy Ruf led in the devotional using Philippians 4:6 Hazel Ruf led in singing “My Country ‘tis of Thee”, followed by the pledge to the U.S. Flag. Mary Ann Jacobs, secretary, called roll and read the minutes to the past meeting. Clara Bumpus gave the treasurer’s report. The secretary read a list of projects the club had accomplished during the past year. Five members attended the Achievement Day Banquet on October 20. The next meting will be one week early, on Wednesday, December 13, at 10:00 a.m. at the home of Cora Patterson. Bring a gift to exchange and a dish for the noon luncheon. Visitors and new members are welcome.
