Tiger B-team Wins The Ardmore B-team used a balanced scoring attack and big unanswered scoring run in the second quarter to defeat West Limestone 31-24 on Tuesday in the Ardmore gym. The visitors scored the last four points of the first quarter to lead 8-6. After swapping baskets to open the second quarter, the Tigers scored the last 10 points of the period to lead 18-10. West hit a pair of three-pointers to open the third quarter before Ardmore scored eight unanswered points. The Tigers enjoyed their largest lead in the fourth quarter 38-18 when Zane Hambay hit a three-pointer. Matthew Smith’s nine points led the winners as nine Ardmore Tigers scored. Clay Wales scored eight while Hambay added four. Jared Atchley had three for the winners as Angel Berrios, Jonathan Shannon and Jake Marlow each scored two points. Tommy Reyer and Darrell Taylor had eight points each for the Wildcats as Justin White finished with seven and Nathan Sides two. The B-team travels to Tanner for a 4:30 p.m. contest on Friday and then faces the Trojans at Athens Bible School on Tuesday. |
