Tiger B-Team Wins A Pair Of Games

Madison County and Tanner are the two latest victims of the Ardmore B-team. Last Friday Ardmore defeated Tanner 43-42 while on Tuesday they stopped visiting Madison County 56-26.

Ardmore 43, Tanner 42

Jeffery Boyce’s steal with 1.3 seconds left Friday night assured the Ardmore Tigers of a 43-42 win at Tanner.

Boyce’s steal highlighted a big fourth quarter for the winners as they outscored their opposition 17-9. Matthew Smith and Jake Marlow, who did not score until that stanza, combined for 10 of those. Clay Wales and Zane Hambay accounted for the rest.

Tanner led at each quarter stop 12-10, 23-19 and 33-26.

Wales led the winners with 14 while Hambay scored nine and Matt Lannom seven. Smith had six, Marlow four and Angel Barrios one.

Lannom and Hambay each hit a three-pointer for the Tigers.

Hines led the Rattlers with 14 points. Draper scored nine and Randolf seven for Tanner.

Ardmore 56, Mad. Co. 26

The Ardmore Tiger B-team gave up the opening basket and scored the next 14 points in their 56-26 win over the Madison County Tigers last Tuesday.

Clay Wales and Jake Marlow led a balanced scoring attack as nine Ardmore Tigers scored. Wales finished with 12 and Marlow 11. David Keenum had seven, Jeffery Boyce six while Matt Lannom and Matthew Smith scored five each. Zane Hambay scored four as Jonathan Shannon and David Keenum each scored two.

Chris Naked led Madison County with seven as Wade Lenoir, Anthony Bonds and Trey Renfroe each scored four.

The next three B-team contests are at home. Columbia provides the opposition on Friday, East Limestone on Tuesday and Elkmont on the following Friday.
