Lady Tigers Get Region Win,
Then Lose To Tanner

The Ardmore Lady Tigers opened their race for post season honors by defeating the visiting Madison County Tigers 51-21 last Tuesday before the Lady Rattlers at Tanner stopped Ardmore 72-48 last Friday.

Tanner 72, Ardmore 42

Three Tanner Lady Rattlers finished in double figures as they defeated the visiting Ardmore Lady Tigers 72-42. Cecily Woods finished with 22 points while Hollye Keenum added 17 and Christen Stephens 12.

Hailey Drake was the only double-digit scorer for the Lady Tigers. Drake had 10 points as Jennifer Ratley finished with nine. Jennifer Mills and Brittany Miles each scored seven for Ardmore. Courtney Pettus and Shannon Fogg each scored four as Christina Covington had three, Landria Curtis two and Megan Pressnell one.

Ratley’s free throw in the opening quarter knotted the score at 7-7. The Lady Raiders scored the next 10 points.

Drake hit a two-pointer late in the second quarter as Ardmore trailed 21-20. Tanner scored the next eight points.

Tanner used a pair of eight-point runs to lead 55-30 after three quarters.

Ardmore 51, Mad. Co. 21

The Ardmore Lady Tigers did not allow a second quarter point in their 51-21 win over the visiting Madison Co. Tigers last Tuesday.

Leading 32-5 after three, Ardmore scored the first five points of the fourth quarter to extend their lead.

Jennifer Mills led the winners with 11 points while Landria Curtis scored nine and Brittany Miles eight. Christina Covington had seven for the winners as Courtney Pettus scored six. Jennifer Ratley scored four as Shannon Fogg and Lauren Atchley scored three each and Jennifer Ratley 2.
