Junior Lady Tigers Win One, Lose One
The Tanner Junior Lady Rattlers and the Ardmore Junior Lady Tigers each won a game last week. Tanner defeated Ardmore 30-21 last Thursday. Last Monday Ardmore stopped Elkton 42-6.
Tanner 30, Ardmore 21
The Tanner Junior Lady Rattlers turned up the defense in the last half when they invaded the Ardmore gym last Friday in their 30-21 victory. The winners allowed a single 2-pointer and three free throws in the final two quarters.
Callie Steadman took game honors for the Lady Tigers with 13 points, 12 in the opening quarter. Elizabeth Hodges, Emily Faulkner and Susanna Eubanks each had a 2-pointer as Ashley Miles and Brittany Brown hit a free throw.
Sierra Sales and Courtney Bright led the winners with 10 points each.
Ardmore 42, Elkton 6
The Elkton Lady Elks had trouble scoring in their 42-6 loss to Ardmore in middle school action last Monday.
Elkton had a pair of first half field goals from Markeyta Bledsoe and a third quarter 2-pointer from Roxi Edmondson for all their points.
Emily Faulkner and Brittany Brown scored 10 points each for the winners. Callie Steadman scored six for Ardmore. Scoring two points each for the Lady Tigers were Callie Bryant, Sara Wales, Kelsey Turner and Jensen Kirby.
