Elkmont is extra busy around the holiday season. The word of the week is respect. Clubs are making a mad dash to collect items for charities. The Spanish club is collecting items for Toys for Tots. FCA is sponsoring Operation White Christmas and Sr. Beta Club is also helping out with that project. The 4-H club is collecting cans and other goods for the needy. Tuesday the 12th the Junior Varsity boys, Varsity girls, and Varsity boys play Athens at Elkmont. Thursday the 14th the Junior girls and middle school boys play Ardmore at Elkmont. Friday the 15th the Junior Varsity boys, Varsity girls, and Varsity boys play Ardmore away. The Elkmont Band Christmas Concert is also Friday the 15th.

Many students and faculty are anxiously awaiting the Christmas Break.

The featured seniors this week are Haley Carter, Landon Clark and Laura Clark.

Haley Carter is the daughter of P.J. Spry and Jeff Carter. Her hobbies and interests are painting, writing, heath care, and concerts. Her future plans are to become a R. N. Her favorite memories at EHS are the ice fights on the tech bus. Her advice to her lower classmen is to try hard because life is short. She will miss Mister Mucci the most.

Haley Carter

Landon Clark is the son of Sammy and Keila Berzett. His hobbies and interests are four-wheeling, working, and hanging around with everybody. His future plans are to attend college for precision machinery and to get a job with the railroad company in Atlanta. His favorite memory at EHS is playing baseball when baseball was fun. His advice to his lower classmen is to save as much money as you can for gas. He will miss hanging out at the store before school with everybody the most.

Landon Clark

Laura Clark is the daughter of Sammy and Keila Berzett. Her hobbies and interests are twirling, working, riding around, going to the mall, and watching movies with her boyfriend RY. Her future plans are to attend college and major in Criminal Justice.

Her favorite memory at EHS is performing at the halftime of football games. Her advice to her lower classmen is to study hard and don’t forget it. She will miss being a majorette and competing at marching competitions the most.
