Tigers Take Wins From
ABS Trojans, Eagles

The latest victims of the Ardmore Tiger varsity basketball team are Columbia and Athens Bible School. Ardmore evened their region record to 1-1 with a 65-53 win over Columbia last Friday. On Tuesday, Ardmore stopped Athens Bible School 55-16 on Tuesday.

Ardmore 65, Columbia 53

The Ardmore Tigers used a balanced scoring attack to defeat the visiting Columbia Eagles 65-53 last Friday.

Matthew Clem led the winners with 15 points as Landon Curtis scored 13 and Duron Robinson 10. Will Lewis added nine for the Tigers as James Vann Teeples and Jake Stagner each scored seven and Feraas Al-Saba one.

Jarrod Johnson and Holt Clayborn each scored 15 for the Eagles.

The winners led at each quarter stop, 24-10 after one, 31-23 after two, and 45-35 after three.

The largest Tiger lead came in the second quarter after back-to-back baskets by Teeples to give Ardmore a 28-12 advantage.

Columbia scored five unanswered points in the third quarter to cut the lead to five, 40-35.

Ardmore 55, Athens Bible School 16

The Athens Bible School Trojans scored their initial basket with 6:27 in the second. By that time the Tigers had scored 21 points. Ardmore won the game 55-16.

Eight of Matthew Clem’s 11 points came in a 17-point first quarter for the winners. Will Lewis scored nine and James Vann Teeples five as Duron Robinson, Feraas Al-Saba, T. J. Duncan and Landon Curtis each scored four. Scoring two points each for the winners were Jarrod Mullins, Ryan McMunn and Jake Stagner.

Jeremy Couey scored six and John McWhirter had four points each for the Trojans.

Will Chumbley and Ryan Moring scored two points each as Troy Steelman and Will Hagewood each had one.
