We have not talked in a while. Thanks to all of you who have called and seen me out and about and told me how much you missed my column. I hope you have gotten your shopping done.

This time of year I remember when I was a child at Christmas. As I look back now our Christmases were small but full of love. I don’t see how Mother and Daddy bought for six children. Back in those days you got one thing and an apple and orange in your sock (not stocking). It is our fault (parents) for thinking now our children and grandchildren have to have the best and the most.

I have some things to discuss with you about City business, but I won’t it’s the holidays. We will talk after the first of the year. I do want to thank all of you for your support during my first year in office. I have tired to do my best. I have made some made, but I still believe everyone should be treated alike. You may always call my phone.

I do hope all of you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know the Lord will see that you get the things that you need and will bless you in the New Year.
