Elks Get Convincing Victories

Ten Elkton Elks scored when they defeated the Blanche Bulldogs 53-23 in recent cage action.
Kadijon Townsend led the Elks with 14 points as Quenton Braden scored eight and Logan Phifer five. Scoring four points apiece for Elkton were Michael Stevenson, Dylan Dingley and Juwan Gilbert while Jared Bassham, Bobby Joe Melton, Blake Daniel and Guy Miller each scored two.
Blanche, who managed two first quarter points, had three points apiece from Calvin Perry, Chris Lukawecz and JoJo Wiser. Getting two points each for Blanche were Jake Cole and Jacob Walker.
Phifer hit Elkton’s only three-pointer as Perry’s three-pointer in the third quarter was Blanche’s only field goal.
Elkton 47, Leoma 39
Quenton Braden scored 16 points as Michael Stevenson and Jared Bassham added 15 points each in Elkton’s 52-29 win at Leoma.
They had scoring help from Kadijon Townsend who had four while Bobby Melton added two and Chris Bledsoe one.
Leading 34-27 after three quarters, Stevenson scored eight points in the final stanza and Bassham six.
Kendall Sherill had 17 points for Leoma while Jake Clift added 10.
