Tigers Beat Wildcats

After a sluggish start the Ardmore Middle School Tigers picked up a 34-21 win at West Limestone last Thursday.

Austin Fogg’s two-pointer late in the opening quarter gave the Tigers their first lead of the game, 7-6. In the second quarter Matt Teeples and Landon Boggs hit back-to-back baskets to give Ardmore a 13-9 lead. They never trailed again. By the half Ardmore held a four point advantage, 17-14.

Cody Little opened the third quarter with a field goal for the Wildcats before Ardmore reeled off the next eight points.

Ardmore began the fourth quarter with back-to-back baskets from Wade Riggs and J. Tribble. Jake Holland countered with a basket for West to cut the lead to 11, 30-19. That was as close as the Wildcats could get.

The last five Ardmore points came from the charity stripe.

Riggs led the winners with 10 as Tribble scored eight and Teeples seven. Fogg scored six, Kyle Hutchinson four and Boggs three.

Little had six for the Wildcats and Holland five.
