Ardmore Lady Tigers Win Two, Drop One

The Ardmore Lady Tigers stopped West Morgan and West Limestone last week on the hardwoods after falling to Priceville on Monday. Priceville handed Ardmore a 61-52 defeat last Monday before the Lady Tigers defeated West Morgan 46-30 on Tuesday and West Limestone 59-54 on Thursday.

Ardmore 59, West Limestone 54

Scoring their last four points from the free throw line, the Ardmore Lady Tigers left West Limestone with a 59-54 win over the Lady Wildcats.

Elizabeth Dison kept the contest close scoring five unanswered points in the fourth quarter for the Wildcats to tie the score at 51-all with 54.9 seconds left. The Wildcats did not score again. The Lady Tigers scored their last five points from the charity stripe. Shannon Fogg and Jennifer Mills combined for the final Ardmore points.

Each team had scoring runs in the fourth quarter when Ardmore led 47-45 after three quarters of play.

The contest was tied three times in the first quarter and once in the fourth quarter.

Courtney Pettus ended the first quarter with a 3-pointer to give Ardmore an18-15 lead.

Brittany Miles hit the last basket of the second quarter to pull Ardmore within five, 32-27.

Hailey Drake scored 10 third quarter points to give Ardmore a 47-45 lead by the end of that quarter.

Dison led all scorers with 27 points as Natalie Harrison added nine for West Limestone. Mills and Drake scored 12 points each for the winners while Fogg and Pettus added eight points each. Jennifer Ratley scored seven for Ardmore as Miles scored four, Landria Curtis three, Lauren Atchley two and Aarika Boggs one.

Ardmore 46, West Morgan 30

The Ardmore Lady Tigers scored the first six points enroute to a 46-30 win over West Morgan last Tuesday.

The Lady Tigers allowed two first-half field goals and five free throws.

Courtney Pettus knocked down three 3-pointers and scored 13 points for Ardmore as Jennifer Mills added 11. Hailey Drake and Megan Pressnell scored four points each for the winners while Landria Curtis added three. Aarika Boggs and Christina Covington scored two points each for the winners.

Whitlee Potter scored 11 points and Kelevia Williams 10 for the visitors.

Priceville 61, Ardmore 52

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs hit 10 free throws in the fourth quarter to assure them of a 61-52 win over the visiting Lady Tigers of Ardmore last Monday.

The Lady Tigers trailed 56-52 with 30.9 left when the rest of the Lady Bulldog points came from the free throw line.

The Lady Tigers pulled within six, 22-16, on a field goal from Hailey Drake in the second quarter. The Lady Bulldogs scored the next 12 points.

In the third quarter the Lady Tigers scored the last six points but could not get closer than 11 points, 43-32,

Drake had 10 points for Ardmore as Shannon Fogg, Aarika Boggs and Jennifer Ratley each scored six. Landria Curtis, Courtney Pettus and Brittany Miles had five points for the Lady Tigers while Courtney Pettus scored two.

Adrianna Delatoire had 13 for Priceville as Allie Harris added 11.
