Civitans Collect School Supplies

School starts in less than three weeks To help the children attending Cedar Hill, Elkton and Blanche Schools, the Ardmore, AL/TN Civitan Club is conducting the School Supplies Collection Drive.

Collection boxes will be at Fred’s of Ardmore, Dollar General (across from the Library) and at the Ardmore Police Department. Teachers request supplies including backpacks, notebooks, notebook paper, #2 pencils, crayons, glue, hand soap, paper towels, tissues, etc.

Alabama and Tennessee have designated August 7, 8 and 9 as Tax-Free Holidays to help ease the parents’ financial burden.

The school supplies can be donated through Wednesday, August 12. Civitan members will deliver the supplies to the schools for distribution to the students by the teachers.
