Locals To Entertain At Rodeo Dance

Jeff Whitlow and “The Old Barn Band” will provide music for the Ardmore Rodeo Dance Thursday, August 5, at 7 p.m. at the John Barnes Park Amphitheatre. The band will play pure old country music and country gospel music. Sydnee Goff will also entertain at the Rodeo Dance with her “Minnie Pearl” act. The dance is sponsored by Pizza Inn and is a “JB Sound” Production.

Whitlow and his “Old Barn Band” have shared the stage with many country greats including George Jones, Charlie, Daniels, Larry Gatlin, Aaron Tippin, Sammy Kershaw and more. He and his wife, Connie, live in Hartselle, AL, and also spend time on their farm in Southern Tennessee.

Whitlow’s newest project for 2010 just completed and titled “My Originals & More” contains six originals written by Jeff and a few of writing buddies. The songs cover many different subjects.

Sydnee Goff, daughter of Tim and Michelle Goff of Ardmore, is the 2010 winner of Lincoln’s Got Talent. She is a Minnie Pearl impersonator and singer. Sydnee has entertained at several events in the past and will also perform each night at the rodeo.

Everyone is invited to join the crowd for a great night of music, dancing and fun to kick off the 18th Annual Rodeo Week. Concessions will be available in the park.
